Securing our schools with Technology

I know what everyone believes about gun control about how it is good or bad but, the thing that we can all agree on is that school shootings are a problem. As much as we try currently no one can agree on what the course of action should be but, there may be a great solution to this problem that I think everyone should hear. I introduce the first high tech school defense on mass shootings in our country and it is is currently being developed by a team of highly skilled engineers. How this unnamed project works is that it uses a fiber optic grid to  create a induction grid that will detect high amounts of metal entering the schools area. Then it sends it to a sensor in the ground in real time and that information goes to an administrator that can use cameras around the building to see the perpetrator and decide to tell the smart system to put the school into lock down. One the school is put into lock down all the doors in the school will be automatically dead bolted and the schools non-lethal security system will use no lethal means  such as  a high powered, water cannon or directional sonic device to incapacitate the suspect and the police can make the arrest. They are currently making waves on kickstarter to put this into test trials and hopefully to finish the technology in 6 months and start delivering it to schools in less than a year.
